ICBA Capital Summit Brings Community Bankers to Washington to Meet with Lawmakers and Drive Policy Action

The Independent Community Bankers of America (ICBA) will host hundreds of community bankers during the 2026 ICBA Capital Summit, scheduled for April 29 - May 1 at the Grand Hyatt Washington in the nation’s capital. Attendees will hear from policymakers and ICBA leadership before heading to Capitol Hill to meet with lawmakers on the vital role community banks serve in driving growth and opportunity in urban, suburban, and rural communities nationwide.

The ICBA Capital Summit comes at a key time as lawmakers are engaged on many parts of ICBA’s advocacy agenda, including community bank regulatory relief, the farm bill and agriculture issues, and digital assets policy.

  • WHO: Invited speakers include Treasury Under Secretary for Domestic Finance Jonathan McKernan*, FDIC Chairman Travis Hill, House Financial Services Committee Chairman French Hill (R-Ark), and House Financial Services Committee Ranking Member Maxine Waters (D-Calif.). ICBA Chair Alice Frazier and ICBA President and CEO Rebeca Romero Rainey are also scheduled to speak.

  • WHAT: The ICBA Capital Summit allows community bankers to connect with policymakers to discuss ICBA’s regulatory and legislative priorities and share how their banks meet the needs of local customers and communities.
