The Senate this week is scheduled to take up House-passed legislation to extend the National Flood Insurance Program. The House bill would extend the NFIP, which is scheduled to expire on Tuesday, through November.
ICBA has been calling on Congress to reauthorize the program, as outlined in a recent joint letter to lawmakers.
The Senate will be in Washington next week before breaking for a shortened recess the week of Aug. 6. The House is in recess through Sept. 4.
