Facebook announced a security breach affecting nearly 50 million accounts.
Facebook announced a security breach affecting nearly 50 million accounts. Attackers exploited a vulnerability in Facebook’s code that affected the “View As” feature that lets users see what their profile looks like to someone else. The attackers could then access tokens to take over those accounts. Facebook said it fixed the vulnerability, informed law enforcement, reset the access tokens, and temporarily turned off the “View As” feature.
