The Federal Reserve said that while its Washington, D.C., offices will be closed this Thursday due to the national day of mourning for former President Jimmy Carter, its payment systems will operate normally.
The Federal Reserve said that while its Washington, D.C., offices will be closed this Thursday due to the national day of mourning for former President Jimmy Carter, its payment systems will operate normally.
Details: On the Federal Reserve Board’s online calendar and on the Federal Reserve Financial Services’ service status page, the Fed said:
Federal Reserve payment systems and financial services will operate normally on Jan. 9.
Reserve Bank cash offices will fulfill financial institution orders for currency and coin according to normal operating procedures.
All releases scheduled for Jan. 9 will be postponed until Jan. 10.
