Regulators should support the banking system with a more pragmatic approach, including tailoring regulations to the size of the bank, Federal Reserve Governor Michelle Bowman said.
Regulators should support the banking system with a more pragmatic approach, including tailoring regulations to the size of the bank, Federal Reserve Governor Michelle Bowman said.
Details: Speaking in California, Bowman said, “I am confident that going forward, regulators will return to regulatory tailoring, particularly for community banks with straightforward business models.”
Monetary Policy: Bowman also explained her votes on recent rate decisions. “Looking ahead, we should be cautious in considering changes to the policy rate as we move toward a more neutral setting,” she said.
