This week’s ICBA pushback against credit union advocacy meetings in Washington is making news. American Banker and Credit Union Times covered ICBA’s guide to congressional offices featuring questions to ask credit union advocates during this week's meetings.
Also this week, ICBA has been running a digital ad campaign urging congressional hearings on credit union acquisitions of community banks.
Meanwhile, community bankers can still register for next week’s ICBA webinar on raising awareness of how credit unions abuse their tax-exempt status. Scheduled for 2 p.m. (Eastern time) Tuesday, March 3, the webinar is open to all ICBA community bankers.
ICBA continues encouraging community bankers to use its Be Heard grassroots advocacy center to request congressional hearings.
