Caleb and I have always been a pair of hams. We’ve always been told that we needed our own TV show but we never really took those comments seriously. It wasn’t until a video of us went viral on TikTok that we realized just how relatable and marketable our fun sibling dynamic was. That video currently sits at over three million views and grows more each day. After that video exploded, we decided to jump into the world of podcasting and figure it out on the fly.
I especially appreciate the work and care that goes into creating a podcast. I admire so many podcasters and storytellers and would be honored to consider myself one of them. Not everyone can tell a story well, and you know the good ones when you hear them.
Our favorite part of the podcast is the time we get to spend together. As we’ve grown into adults, work and other obligations have taken up more and more of our free time. This podcast allows us to be kids again. The Big Bad Boot has created a space for us to spend time together like we used to: wrapped up in a story and making each other laugh. We also love that The Big Bad Boot tells the story of the state of Louisiana. We get to share that with the world, one episode at a time.
We have been blown away by the response we’ve received from our audience. We are on track to hit over 10,000 downloads by the end of the year, which is a huge milestone for new shows. The high level of downloads and listens gives us the motivation to keep going.
