The FDIC, OCC, and CFPB issued final rules to clarify and codify the role of supervisory guidanc
The FDIC, OCC, and CFPB issued final rules to clarify and codify the role of supervisory guidance. The rules codify the agencies' September 2018 statement clarifying the differences between regulations and guidance.
ICBA this month commended regulators for the proposal but encouraged them to go further by defining “supervisory guidance” and clarifying the consequences of violating guidance.
