Federal and state banking regulators said they will provide regulatory assistance to institutions affected by Hurricane Irma. The joint statement encourages bankers to work with borrowers in communities affected by the Category 5 storm, noting that prudent efforts will not be subject to examiner criticism and may earn Community Reinvestment Act consideration.
