Federal and state financial regulators issued a joint statement saying they recognize the serious impact of Hurricane Milton on the customers and operations of many financial institutions and will provide appropriate regulatory assistance to affected institutions subject to their supervision.
Federal and state financial regulators issued a joint statement saying they recognize the serious impact of Hurricane Milton on the customers and operations of many financial institutions and will provide appropriate regulatory assistance to affected institutions subject to their supervision.
Details: The agencies encouraged institutions operating in the affected areas to meet the financial services needs of their communities and released a Federal Emergency Management Agency list of current disaster areas.
ICBA Action: The ICBA Foundation’s Hurricane Relief Fund continues requesting tax-deductible donations to assist community banks and employees affected by the recent catastrophic storms. The ICBA website also features updates on Hurricanes Helene and Milton with links to federal and state resources for community banks and their customers.
