MOPIK News put the spotlight on National Award recipient ChoiceOne Bank of Sparta, Mich., for its pioneering efforts in providing secure financial services access to Spanish speakers who work in the community’s agricultural sector. ICBA Senior Vice President of Media and Public Relations Aleis Stokes commented on ChoiceOne’s endeavors, which include expanding mainstream financial services to an underserved population through hosting financial education sessions in Spanish. “Their efforts to learn more about members of their community and serve them better highlight their commitment to their customers, local small businesses and neighbors,” Stokes said. |
