More than half of all consumer complaints received by the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau from January 2020 through September 2021 were directed at Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion, the bureau said.
More: The CFPB said consumers submitted more than 700,000 complaints on the credit bureaus during that period. The credit bureaus reported providing relief in response to less than 2% of covered consumer complaints, down from nearly 25% in 2019.
