The FDIC said it is seeking input on potentially modernizing its sign and advertising requirements related to FDIC deposit insurance to better reflect how banks and consumers operate.
The FDIC said it is seeking input on potentially modernizing its sign and advertising requirements related to FDIC deposit insurance to better reflect how banks and consumers operate.
Background: The FDIC last year postponed efforts to update its official sign and advertising rules due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The rules were last significantly updated in 2006.
Feedback: The FDIC also is soliciting information on how to make it easier for consumers to distinguish FDIC-insured institutions from nonbank entities. Comments are due May 24.
