The Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Federal Housing Finance Agency announced an agreement regarding fair housing and fair lending coordination.
The Department of Housing and Urban Development and the Federal Housing Finance Agency announced an agreement regarding fair housing and fair lending coordination.
Agreement: Under the memorandum of understanding, the two agencies will focus on enhancing their enforcement of the Fair Housing Act and oversight of Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and the Federal Home Loan Banks.
Impact: The agencies said the MOU strengthens their ability to enforce fair housing and fair lending requirements by promoting information sharing and coordination.
