ICBA Rural America and Agriculture Committee Chairman Gus Barker is scheduled to testify before Congress this week on streamlining and coordinating support for rural small businesses.
Hearing: Barker, president and CEO of First Community Bank in Newell, Iowa, will appear before the Senate Small Business Committee at 2:30 p.m. (Eastern time) tomorrow.
Testimony: Barker is set to discuss community banks’ support for rural businesses following natural disasters by providing critical resources, counsel, and comfort in local communities.
