Independent Banker: New ICBA chair wants to prepare the next generation of community bankers

New ICBA Chairman Alice Frazier is focusing her term as chairman on engaging the next generation of community bankers, as detailed in the latest Independent Banker magazine.
Details: In the March issue of Independent Banker, the president and CEO of Potomac Bank in Charles Town, W.Va., said she wants community banks to get their teams engaged with ICBA through advocacy, innovation, and professional development, which supports the growth of the next generation of bankers and advances their personal trajectories.
Background: Frazier was elected ICBA chairman this week at ICBA LIVE 2026 in San Diego. Frazier also serves on the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond board, is past chairman of the Virginia Association of Community Banks, serves as treasurer of the WVU East Hospital System and the Loudoun Economic Development Authority, and is a member of 100 Women Strong.
