Details: In the agency’s 2023 annual report, the OCC said:
63.8% of its 3,509 employees are bank examiners.
Its budget authority rose to $1.194 billion in 2023 from $1.153 billion last year.
95% of its revenue came from assessments, down from 97% in 2022.
Total OCC-supervised institution assets rose to $16.2 trillion from $15.9 trillion last year.
