Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-Iowa) called on ICBA Capital Summit attendees to encourage their members of Congress to add the Access to Credit for our Rural Economy (ACRE) Act to the Senate version of the tax reconciliation bill.
Details: In video remarks to attendees, Feenstra noted that the ag business lending portion of the ACRE Act was included in the House “One Big, Beautiful Bill” legislative package and now needs to be included in a Senate bill to help provide affordable, reliable capital to farmers and ag businesses.
More: Feenstra added that he remains opposed to the enforcement of 1071, which he said would increase the cost of loans and restrict access to capital. Feenstra thanked community bankers for supporting their families, farmers, businesses, and communities, and concluded by saying he would always be a strong voice for community banks in Congress.
