Monday: The Federal Reserve releases May consumer credit figures at 3 p.m. (Eastern time).
Tuesday: Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen is scheduled to testify before the House Financial Services Committee on the state of the international financial system at 10 a.m. ... Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell is set to appear before the Senate Banking Committee at 10 a.m. on the Fed’s semiannual monetary policy report.
Wednesday: Powell returns to Capitol Hill at 10 a.m. to testify on the Fed’s semiannual monetary policy report before the House Financial Services Committee. ... The Senate Agriculture Committee holds an oversight hearing on digital commodities at 10 a.m. ... The Commerce Department releases May wholesale inventories data at 10 a.m. ... The Senate Agriculture Committee’s Subcommittee on Rural Development and Energy holds a hearing on the state of rural infrastructure at 2:30 p.m.
Thursday: The Labor Department releases June’s Consumer Price Index at 8:30 a.m. ... The Senate Banking Committee holds a 10 a.m. hearing on the nominations of Christy Goldsmith Romero as FDIC chair, Caroline Crenshaw as a member of the Securities and Exchange Commission, Kristin Johnson as assistant secretary of the Treasury, and Gordon Ito as a member of the Financial Stability Oversight Council.
Friday: The Labor Department reports June’s Producer Price Index at 8:30 a.m. ... The University of Michigan releases its preliminary July consumer sentiment index at 10 a.m. ... The House Financial Services Committee holds a field hearing on financial institution-fintech partnerships at 10 a.m.
