President Joe Biden signed an executive order to establish new safety, privacy, and equity standards for artificial intelligence.
President Joe Biden signed an executive order to establish new safety, privacy, and equity standards for artificial intelligence.
Details: Among its provisions, the executive order:
Requires AI developers to share their safety test results with the U.S. government.
Directs multiple federal agencies to develop standards, tools, and tests for AI systems, including assessing cybersecurity risks.
Directs the Commerce Department to establish standards for detecting AI-generated content to protect against fraud.
Orders a national security memorandum to develop further actions on AI and security.
